it kind of reminds me of this video i saw on youtube. there was this box that had a michanical girl inside, the box opened and a t.v. in the room came on showing something that looked a lot like the girl only with more feature definition. the girl then edited herself to look like the one on the tv. the tv then moved farther away and the image changed, the girl extended herself and matched the image yet again, and yet again the tv moved away changing the picture. this continued on the girl adding make up and such until the tv moved out of reach. the girl tired a few times to reach the image; but when it started to break her, she moved back to her original place seeming to think that being "incomplete" was better than breaking herself trying to match up to the expectations shown on the tv
